Piksta Privacy Policy
Piksta stores the comp information you choose to enter, on EJM Digital’s own servers, so your group can play together on iPhone and Android. The free tier on both apps shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, described in full under Advertising below.
Information we collect
Your profile — the name and display name you choose, your avatar symbol and colour, and any cosmetics you have unlocked — plus the comps you create or join, your memberships, your picks, ladder results, banter posts and reactions, Last Man Standing picks, and any entry-fee or prize notes a comp owner records. This is what is needed to run a comp. If you report a banter post, we also store what you reported — the post’s text, who wrote it and who reported it — so somebody can review it.
Signing in, and what we do NOT keep
You sign in with Google, or with Apple on iPhone. We verify the sign-in token those services issue and keep only the account identifier it contains. We do not store your email address, and we never receive your Google or Apple password.
Where your data is stored
On EJM Digital’s own servers, running on Cloudflare’s network. Piksta no longer uses iCloud or Apple CloudKit for comp data. Shared comp information is visible to the members of that comp; your profile is visible to the people you play with. Everything travels over an encrypted connection.
Notifications, widgets and live scores
If you turn notifications on, we store the push token your phone gives us — from Apple on iPhone, Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android — together with your notification preferences, so we can send lockout reminders and round results. Home-screen widgets and Live Activities use their own long-lived tokens, stored the same way. All of these are deleted with your account.
Usage and crash diagnostics
We collect anonymous usage and crash diagnostics — which screens are used, whether a purchase succeeded or failed, and whether the app crashed or froze. These go to EJM Digital’s own servers, not to any third party. They are tied only to a random identifier created on your install, which is destroyed when you remove the app; it is not your profile, not your Apple or Google account, not your device ID and not an advertising identifier. Our server rejects any diagnostic field that looks like a name, an email address, a message or a pick. There is no third-party analytics SDK in either app. Our diagnostics are kept separate from the advertising described below and are never combined with it.
Sports data and odds
Piksta requests fixture, score and bookmaker-odds information through EJM Digital’s sports-data gateway so it can show upcoming matches, live scores and odds-based features. Piksta does not send your profile, your picks or your banter to sports-data providers.
Purchases
Piksta Pro is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and processed for us by RevenueCat, which tells our server whether your Pro entitlement is active. Apple and Google handle the payment; neither they nor RevenueCat pass us your card details, and we never see them. RevenueCat receives the store’s purchase record and an account identifier so the entitlement can follow your account between devices and platforms.
Advertising
The free tier on iPhone and Android shows ads supplied by Google AdMob: a banner, and an optional ad you can choose to watch to see the odds on one game. Google may use an advertising identifier to choose which ads you see; it never receives your picks, your comps, your name or your messages. iPhone asks your permission before that identifier is used, and saying no costs you nothing in the app. We do not sell your data. Where the law requires it you are asked before any personalised ad is shown, and you can change that answer at any time in the app under Settings, Ad privacy choices. Piksta Pro removes ads entirely.
Access and deletion
Open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. Your profile, picks, banter, memberships, ladder rows, notification tokens and entitlement record are removed permanently, and a comp you created is handed to the next member so their season survives. Full detail, including the one identifier we keep afterwards, is on the Delete your account page.
Children
Piksta is not directed at children. It is intended for people aged 18 and over.
